Rev. R. Randy Day

Rev. R. Randy Day’s warm smile and strong message of faith invite everyone to hear and really listen to the Word of God.

“We are an open and affirming church family — all are welcome here.”

Since beginning his ministry at Mashpee Congregational Church in August of 2023, Rev. Day has gained the respect and love of this congregation. He is both a minister of the United Church of Christ and an ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church. He is also a dedicated family man. He and his wife, Emily Day, have raised five children.

Rev. Day’s wealth of life experience and ministry is reflected in his sermons each Sunday morning, as he shares the Good News mixed with stories of places he has lived, traveled and served. He delivers a powerful message of God's love with passion and humor — and often the morning headlines.

Born in Illinois, his education includes degrees from Silliman University, Philippines; Yale Divinity School, and New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies, International studies. His education and life's work has been enhanced by travel, study and work in 96 countries on six continents.

Among his many leadership roles is that of serving as General Secretary of the General Board of Global Ministries. In that position, he was a key leader in providing a global vision to eliminate diseases of poverty affecting millions of children, notably malaria.
